Yeah, but if I put a cage in the S2000, then I'd have to race against you. Lose lose either way.

Yep, I'll be there with the never-ending chumpcar build, running in DE2, and a teammate in DE4.

I agree about the SE46! Cool class with some very fast drivers. From what I can recall they are running 2:08's and 2:09's at VIR Full with no aero? The stock gearing on the 330 5 spd is insanely aggressive for a mass production car. I think it tops out in 5th at 140....just about perfect for most tracks.

What are you looking at in the way of cost?

I told the wife $25-30k over the course of a year and a half or so. The big money items are the diff, dampers, and the cage. Everything else just seemed like normal stuff you'd end up bolting to a track car anyway. I should be able to find a donor car for less than $4k.

Here's a spreadsheet with build prices: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...4cx3c/htmlview

That is awesome. I look forward to watching the build. It's great you guys are doing real racing. Very envious.

Pete it's hard to take you seriously about being envious of our puny cars when you have that monster in your garage.

Hey Stephen do you have some AIM datalog files you can share from when your car was on street tires at VIR? I just picked up a solo DL and I'm looking forward to some number crunching after next weekend.

Pete you should work towards a comp license just for the hell of it. My car (and driver) is too fat to be competitive at nationals but I'd rather gain the experience and come back next year with a more prepped car than miss out. Seriously the most fun I've had on track is w2w.
