I noticed you were close behind through OakTree. Was he referring to you, “Holly crap, that little thing is fast.” I’d love to be able to hear what high-horsepower drivers are saying or thinking when we run them down in our “little cars.”

"Good news, Everyone!"
I'm registered for the THSCC event at VIR. I'll be instructing 1 student.

If anyone is on the fence, they got weather insurance from VIR and will offer full refunds if it looks like freezing conditions 48 hours before.

Nice running dude!

I notice you seem to not heel-toe on downshifts... maybe I'm wrong but you seem to clutch in & brake, come off brake mid-corner, blip throttle and release clutch. Is that what you do? If you're not heel-toe'ing, is that because you don't find it beneficial, or you aren't good enough at it yet to work out well? Serious question. Because I suuuuck at it and never practice it and have always assumed I'd be slow because I wouldn't do it.

I definitely heel-toe every downshift. Even went back and watched the lap again to see if any were poorly executed but didn’t notice any. Typically hit the brake, clutch in and blip throttle to match the downshift, release clutch, then continue braking/engine braking to trailbrake the car to apex, then roll back in to throttle. Every once in a while you might hear reapplication of throttle before apex to settle the car but it’s definitely faster with less wear and tear on the car. It’s an extremely quick process in a car like the S where it revs quickly but smoothness on my part is also aided by my original clutch with 73k miles, the last 15k+ which have been 100% track.

I went to the SCCA TT at CMP 2 weekends ago. Was hoping to see more S2000's from here there but only got to meet 1. Id like to do another CMP this year with NASA before the end of the year. RA with NASA is next week then I gotta make the hike to Autobahn for Gridlife 2 weeks after that.

I might go to the NASA at CMP. I'd like to get my time down at CMP to a consistent 1.48 on 71r's before the end of the year and I might try some one on one from a coach to help but I don't know is NASA coaches have that kind of time to help between their sessions. I might try another org.
