Thanks for the heads up. The new CR is indeed a great looking car (like all of our S2000s).

It's simply impractical.

The S2000 is _A_ Roadster. Folks wanting to "TRACK" an S2000 aren't spending $35k and change to do it. They are gonna go out and buy a pre-owned S2000 around $20-25k and then add whatever modifications to it...then TRACK it.

The CR will be bought by posers. Instant "bragging rights" for someone to say, "I bought the most-expensive S2000." Betcha the CRs we'll see around won't be used for the track at all... But yet, you can't take it for a drive with the top down unless you're _certain_ the weather won't turn on 'ya.

It's the same as the Civic Si Mugen...who the hell is approving these cars at Honda to be released??

Cary has a black one and Raleigh has the blue one.

The black looks freaking great in person.

How much is the OEM hardtop option @ the dealer? I think if you only want a hardtop S2000 then the CR is a good deal especially if you plan on autoxing it.

Honda just started to re-produce a hardtop for the S for the 2008 model year. MSRP on the top is $3599 plus mounting hardware....its worth the price if you were going to buy a base model and add a hardtop..

If you look at MSRP alone then the CR is a good deal 34k MSRP on a stock s2000 + 3600 for the CR which comes with a hardtop. = price of CR

Yeah, but you can do better than that on an OEM HT through our own Hardtopguy!
