Default Different tires front/back

I know you're not supposed to do it but the damn tires burned off in no time flat! Even though they were a higher treadwear rating.

HANKOOK VENTUS V12 EVO2 - Currently on car. Was thinking of putting the HANKOOK VENTUS R-S3 (VERSION 2) on the rears and letting the fronts burn off.

Thoughts.......sound off.

I'm probably not the smartest person to bounce ideas off of, but I've run a mixed setup on the track and been fine. You just need to understand that the V12 EVO2 is a 320 treadwear while the RS3 is 200...meaning the RS3 has more grip.

Yeah I probably should have gone with RS3's all the way around when I put new shoes on the car. I just couldn't afford what I wanted at the time which was Falken Azenis RT615's. LOVE THEM and they lasted even with a 200ish treadwear.

Funniest thing is that I have run Bridgestone S-03's and they wore out faster than S-02's! Mostly because they slid more and thus chunked out tread vs. gripping.

Logic is solid!

Probably burn off the R-S3s the same time the fronts finally decide to give. Fronts seem to last forever compared to the rears. Could just be my pedal.

Ever thought of going square with a non-directional tire like the BFG Rival?

Me? NO way. RedCelica is doing that right now well at least square setup with I think RS3's. I don't need that much front grip.

That's like saying, "I don't need that much horsepower."

Or

"I don't need that much money."

"No thanks honey, I don't need that much sex."

Square is awesome. It's the way the car was meant to be, but Honda put less tire up front to make it understeer.

The way I drive I usually get oversteer! So going square would be like putting donuts on the rear!
