Default Hydroplane :(

So this past Sunday I let my wife drive my s2000 in the rain, dumb of me...she hydroplaned spun a 360 and into a ditch she is fine though. So the damages are front left fender dent, and only really major thing is the rear left tire caved in. Whole right side of the car looks normal but the rear left tire is my only concern. What should I look for, or should I claim it on my insurance. She'd some light pls

don't turn it in to insurance until you get it looked at. that way you'll know if its repairable or not. at least your wife is okay.

Might want to post pics. Left fender and rear tire doesn't sound too expensive

Where are you? I know a good shop in Mooresville that's had a lot of recent experience with S2000s :-/

I'm in hickory nc, I don't know how to post pix, I took off the rear tire last night but I don't know what's bent and what's not, I just know that when I put the tire back on, the bottom of the tire goes in and the top of the tire is sticking out, opposite of a car being super slammed

Can you take a pic of it on the ground from behind so we can see how bad the angle is? Might be able to see if it's just alignment or if something might be bent. Also, does the other side have more negative camber than before, which might indicate that the subframe shifted?

Before you decide to use your insurance, compare repair costs and deductible vs increased premium for the next 3 years.
