Another vote for Billman250 - top-notch guy and knows his way around our cars. Keeps a logbook on each S2k he's ever worked on - IIRC, he was over 800 this time last year...

I bought one from an online Honda parts store and when that one went bad I sent my stock one I saved to billman250 and had it repaired for about half the cost of a new one. As mentioned above, billman250 rebuilds them with a better spring and sandblasts them so they typically last longer than oem. Good luck

DO NOT buy a new tensioner! I almost went out and purchased one a few times until Dustin showed me how to do it. I went home that night, popped out the tensioner and nickP went ahead and sand blasted the worm gear for me. Once i installed the part back in it worked perfectly sound went away and has not come back for a month.
It takes 30 minutes max to take out the tensioner, takes a few minutes to sandblast.
Go to the huge 30 page write-up for more info. If you want to get to the point go to the last page (30) to see my pictures of the job.

AGAIN please do not buy a new one you will be waisting your money since it will go bad again. PM me if you need help.
