Always nice to see S2000 people helping other S2000 people.

That's what it's all about.

This is the 1st time I've ever seen it in person...but I have seen photos of it on the S2000 Talk forum. Folks have reported that it is covered under Honda's factory warranty. It's almost as if some residue/particles were on the foam core surface of the dash when the vinyl was applied.
My dash ('06) shows the same kind of "bubbles" but not anywhere as severe as Airgate's photos. Hmm, sounds like I should point this out to Hendrick Honda in case it gets any worse. Thanks for the photo.

^And Marty...I did a search for you (Links below). I know I've seen threads about the issue. Honda should warranty it and replace your dash.

Yflyer, here are some links to the bubble dash concern.

I also have driven a few DBW s2000s and I actually liked it. Coming from an AP2 owner it presented a fine smoothness to it which i found nice.

The power was basically identical considering. Though supposedly the 06+ dyno more to the wheels than the 04/05 :/

I am considering an 06 because of the reflashable ECU and the hondata reflash would be right up my ally if i decided to stay na. 5k-8600 vtec power band. Which IMO would make the ap2 absolutely a flawless driving experiance during canyon runs and really make the 2.2 shine like it should have been in the first place.

The reflashable ecu also appeals to me now that the Kraftworks S/C is going to be using a s/c specific reflash with their highboost kit. I had thought about sticking with and 05 and going turbo, but in all actually i REALLY want a Laguna Blue 06. So that black 06 is all yours if you want it Airgate.

I really disliked the idea of the aem ems as a tuning option since i will be varying the elevation and simply dont trust a tuner to be as reliable as the oem ecu when it comes to weather, alt and temp adjustments.

I do love the way my ap2 looks, and I love it. The body and interior and top are in awesome condition. But unfortunatly i have had lots of tranny issues which may or may not get resolved under warrenty. I have been fighting with honda for over a year now and after 5 rebuilds my car still pops out of gear during normal driving.

The only thing which pisses me off is that i have $1000 into a HTG clutch kit with less than 4k miles on it which i obviously cant really remove from the car. SO if i get another s2k i'll have to dump another grand into the same clutch kit for it plus labor. I just pray Honda will fix my car and end all my problems so i can keep my current AP2.
