Hi there, I found a CR that I want to buy but the car is all the way in Raleigh, North Carolina. I am wondering if someone local can help do a quick inspection before I fly down. Thank You

 

Where's it at in raleigh? Is it at a dealership or a private seller?

I remember seeing that one on craigslist for a while. Looks about as clean as you can get, but I understand you wanting someone to take a look at it before you travel. Wish the next few weeks weren't so busy for me. Best of luck getting the car looked at.

 

Yeah this car been up on Craigslist for awhile.

 

I am over in Chapel Hill(straight across 64 over Jordan Lake) Probably a 1/2 hour drive. If this guy is really that serious about selling and you are about buying I would say you can probably do one of 2 things.

1. Take it up to wadzii see if he can check it out for you(pay him for his time he runs a business) and be done with it. I have met him and a stand up guy in the community.

Or 2. if this guy is driving around in in my area have him swing by my house I can eye it over and check it out. I won't put it up on a lift or take tires off, or anything but can give it a good once over. I would ask to take it for a drive and make sure it feels right. Owner since Nov. 1999 do 99% of my own work on the car. I have a pretty good idea of what's right and what's not. I am free except for my scheduling of time and maybe share a beer when you buy. Though highly suggest option #1.

 

Feel free to send him by the shop.. I inspect these cars for people all the time. $75 to check it over 100%
