These are pics of the Smart (which is technically a Merc).
The first lot are from the other week when we picked it up.
I will do some more tomorrow as there are no shots of the interior so far.
The size is only 600*480 because I am on dialup.
Some Facts:

Battery is in the front
Gas tank is 32 litres
Fuel consumption: low to mid 50s MPG

Wheels: 15 inch three lug alloys using 185/50/15 Bridgestone S4xxx tires.
Spare tire: There is none! You get an air compressor and a 1 litre bottle of sealant (see picture below)

Nice car , got any pics of the engine compartment?
Yes. I took some today after lunch. It was really cloudy the whole day until I took the pics and put the car back in the garage. Then the sun came out! The pics did not come out too dark though.
We went to lunch with my wife's family and my brother in law came in afterwards to pick a few things up and check out the Smart. He drives a lowered CRX (Delsol) and was big in the street car scene a few years back. He is out of it now but is still a car nut so he already knew much of the stuff about the car and had seen it at the Sydney Motor show last year.
Engine:
There is a plastic flap that redirects air upwards towards the radiator. Not quite a CAI (the air intake is on the side of the car behind the passenger door) but pretty cool nonetheless

Some pictures next to the CRX (DelSol)
The CRX is actually longer by about 10 inches
The car does not come with ANY cup holders. You can buy a CD/Cup holder (I know what you are thinking :-) ) for $100 or you can use the back of the passenger seat which has a whole supposedly usable as a cup holder. I laughed for about 10 minutes after I saw it!
Finally, the rear suspension is quite different:
1. It is not independent. There is a big Fork that goes around the engine and pivots right in the middle of the car (width wise).
2. The Springs are not wrapped around the shock absorbers but are located one foot futher in (closer to the center of the car).
3. The wheels have an agressive alignment. It is obvious from about 10 feet.
WOW! ...that cupholder really puts a cramp on the passenger huh? "Honey...stay still, you're making my soda go flat!!!" [slaps hand on counter and laughs uncontrollably ].
