Hi guys, long time BMW guy here. I've been DDing an 2000 540iT for the past couple months and it's just too much car for me to drive around town. Comes in great for hauling bumpers and friends, but I don't do that every day. My project car is a '92 535i 5-speed that will be turbo'd in the near future. Megasquirt standalone, etc. etc. So, I'll be passing on the E39 to my dad since my parents have two suburbans and a Dodge 3500 as vehicles and could use something a little more nimble around town compared to what they're used to. Being a BMW guy, I've been looking for a Z3 Coupe (clownshoe), but the one that popped up here just had too many issues for the asking price.. so of course I started looking at S2K's as well. More reliable, better MPG, etc. The only problem is, I haven't driven one so I don't have any true impressions of it. Z3 Coupes are extremely hard to find as well.

If someone is willing to meet up sometime to take me for a ride/drive, that'd be much appreciated. Free lunch for you or some gas in your tank, your pick.

Why not just set up a test drive with the seller .

Not sure about the drive part but I would think someone would give you a ride.

Ahh I'm a huge fan of E34s and E39s! Nicely done with the M Shooting Stars and M Parallels. One of my "reasonable" dream cars is a 540iT with the sports package... closest thing to an E39 M5 Touring
