UPDATE on NC Ferry Schedule for March 2002!

Here's what we will start as a Preliminary Run soon! So far, MyBad has been one of the brave souls to accompany me! Wish us luck! If you are interested, please let me know ASAP!

Depart from Cedar Island, NC on the Ocracoke Ferry at 10am. The ferry ($10.00 per S2000) has a maximum capacity of 50 cars and will take approximately 2 1/4 hours to reach it's destination. For scheduling sake, I estimated a 2 1/2 hour arrival time. This puts us on Ocracoke Island at 12:30pm. There are several fine restaurants in Ocracoke and this will be our time to have lunch! Then the final drive thru Ocracoke Island and we are on another ferry (free for all. . .maximum cap is 30 cars). This ferry leaves every hour on the hour so we should arrive at the ferry port before 2pm. This ferry takes a 40 minute venture on to Cape Hatteras. With 20 minutes to spare we should arrive at the Cape Hatteras lighthouse at 3pm. We can spend anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour here and then drive on to Kill Devil Hills and Kitty Hawk. This drive should take about an hour and a half so we should arrive in Kitty Hawk at 5pm - 5:30pm! Dinner at this site will complete the meet and the drives home should be realtively simple!

Depending on more turn out, we may want to change where the meet starts. We can start from the North and move on down South or vice cersa which is the initial plan as of right now!

We will do a preliminary run and see how it works out! I plan on taking lots of pics to share and we'll look forward to a great time in March 2002!!!

I vote for next weekend, 11-10. If not then, I can't make it until the spring. I've got several other's I'll call if we can finalize the date. Let me know.

Hey Raul! I haven't asked Trish yet, but I might like to come down for this! How far would it be from where we end up to Raleigh? I could stay with my sister there.

I might be able to make that one as well. My brother may be in town that weekend so I don't know if he will want to go or not.

I am more than likely going to be at this. However I won't know for sure until Monday. I have to find out if a project with work is going to happen next weekend.

Dean

PS: If anyone is going through Winston on the way, let me know and we can meet up by I-40.
