We are going to leave around 7:30 from Charlotte. I would expect that we will be at exit 42 on 77 sometime around 8:00 which is where we should be able to pick up KAZU.

From there we should be about an hour from Winston-Salem. Typically I take 77 to 40 and go from Statesville into Winston-Salem. We can meet you somewhere on the western side of Winston.

I know the area fairly well but not enough to say that I am an expert. I used to go into Winston using business 40 so I know where that is. I don't know how this would relate to the path that you are going to take.

Taylor,

We could meet off Exit 184 of I-40 (Lewisville-Clemmons). There is a Cracker Barrel there would be a good place to meet.

Let me know,

Alright, it looks like I'll be running on Hwy 70 West from New Bern into I-40. . .

I like the 184 Exit idea. . .I can meet you all there!

What time should we meet at EXIT 184?

So far, it looks like it will take me about 5 hours to get from New Bern to Fancy Gap, so I would think I could make it into EXIT 184 in about 4 hours or so. . .

The weather forecast has changed a bit. There may be some morning isolated storms but will be cleared up by cruising time so don't let the weather scare you off. Besides you can never trust the weather channel.

Arrrrggggggghhhhh! I want to go too! However, hubby's recovering from surgery, so he can't enjoy serious "passengering" just yet. Have a great time, and post some pics for the rest of us!
