HEY I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE KNOWS OF OR HAS BEEN TO A REPUTABLE PLACE THAT PATCHES HOLES IN SOFTTOPS THAT IS IN OR AROUND CHARLOTTE?
I HAVE A SMALL TEAR ABOUT 1.5 INCHES LONG RIGHT BEHIND MY DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW
IT IS JUST GONNA BE AN INTERM THING TIL I GET A NEW TOP BUT I WOULD LIKE IT TO LAST A BIT

i bought a goretex patch kit and it was self adhesive. did the job at keeping the water out and preventing more damage, but it doesn't prevent hydroplaneing accidents.

Whered you get the Goretex kit at? I just purchased a leather/ vinyl repair kit from Autozone but something tells me I should refrain from using it on the top.

 

so noone knows of a reputable place around to get a patch? i dont want to mess with gortex patches as i have had bad experiences with them before in my pussstang

my plastic rear window just cracked on me, and now i am also looking to replace the top with one with a glass rear window. i've seen post after post of people who've done this, and quite a few links to instructional pages on how to do it. all of the links seem to have expired, and i can't find any instructions. can someone please help!!

gortex patch kit was found at sporting goods store as a patch for waders i still have one lying around somewhere but i dont want to use it

 

If noone has sent you a DIY o nthe top by tomorrow i have the Helms manual on cd... im sure I can pdf you the pages on the replacement. Just be prepared to spend all weekend doing it. Let me know how it goes too, I hope to be replacing mine sometime soon.
