Default There's a big hole in my....

Engine Bay

But no worries, the motor came out without any real problems in a couple of nights.

Now that it's out, I can finally make some progress getting my baby back on the road.

There's not much skill required to remove bolts. Putting them all back together without any leftovers -- that's the tricky part.

Well, to me...removing bolts would still be considered skill...

I'll teardown the motor and see how bad the damage is. If it 'just' needs a mild rebuild (bearings, rings, oil pump), then I'll have it rebuilt. If it's more catastrophic, I'll likely pull the motor out of the silver car that I bought and run that.

this is true... but once you've done it before it gets easier and easier every time

although taking the F20 out of one S2k and putting it back in another S2k doesn't seem as difficult as doing other swaps like I have done before...
