Trackday at CMP
If this has been posted before, I apologize.
In case anyone is interested, the Atlanta S2000 group is heading to CMP on 8/2. Yes this is next weekend.

This is in conjunction with the Turn1 organization, so it is open to ALL and not just S2000s.
There are some spots still available, it's close and a decent track for first timers wanting to check out a trackday (little to nothing to hit if you go off)

Well at least it got 1 response.
I am surprised more people are not interested in getting on track. We have one of the best cars in "stock" form out there - able to embarrass plenty of other high $$ and high hp cars (and egos).
I would prefer a day on track vs. a run up Ceasars Head based on safety alone.

I agree with the safety thing!
I think if most people just went once to a track day they'd be hooked. The S2k is a great platform for learning new skills.
BTW, I've been on the newly configured CMP track. It's better but I still prefer VIR and Roebling Rd.
^^I have never done a trackday at VIR, but have been told that I can't run there w/out a roll bar. Did you run the full course? Do you have a roll bar?
So you DO prefer Roebling over CMP?
I agree with the rest of your post; it is totally addictive once you get on track. The hard part for some, I guess, is taking the leap to go the first time.

No doubt, it is certainly short notice. I'll post up in the future about these as the info is available. I posted this one late only b/c it is a relatively short drive to this track and it is on a Saturday (which is a little rare). We'll get together this fall.
There are a few coming up at Roebling (Seat-Time) - Sept, Oct and Nov, but they are on Fridays making it difficult to attend for some.
