Heading to SC for Labor Day weekend, back to the mainland (Georgetown) actually on Labor Day for a few nights in Georgetown. What will the traffic be like on Labor day as Route 17 seems to be the main way off the island. I live in NJ and have been to NC both of which are nightmares on any weekend with shore traffic over a bridge to the mainland.

Prepare to get frustrated. I used to spend a couple of weeks in the Myrtle Beach area every year but I don't have the patience to deal with it any more. The whole area is far too busy for me.
