Valve Adjustment and new Keepers and Retainers in W-S/Greensboro
 

My name is Brett and I have only posted on here a couple of times, but have used the tutorials numerous times when working on MY01. I have 85000 miles and I am looking to get the valves adjusted on the S and to also have AP2 keepers and retainers installed. I have thought about going to either Flow Honda in Winston or Crown Honda in Greensboro, but I am not sure of their reputation when it comes to S2000s. If anyone has any reviews of these two places or knows of another shop that would be a good option, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Hey Brett, it is not a really difficult job, just need a couple of special tools that are not expensive and you can find tons of DIY's....just in case you don't trust the dealers.

Ask aroound to other members and see if anyone can help you do it or pay them to do it! My friend and I did mine back in May and it was easier than I thought! Don't pay a dealer to over charge you...thats why we call them stealer-ships!!!

I feel fairly comfortable doing the valve adjustment with the help of the DIY tutorials on this site, but swapping the keepers and retainers are what worries me. If I can find someone willing to walk me through it, I will gladly pay them for their time and expertise.

I would suggest Triad Auto in Greensboro. They specialize in Honda's and are excellent. I know that one of the owners had an S2000 at one point as well.

GT Imports in Clemmons is another Honda specialist I would recommend as well as Richard Bailey Auto in Burlington - which is who I use.
