That's fine by me...
If I had an oven at or remotely close by my warehouse, I know that would be perfect for all us to fit in...
Matt, u gonna get the diffusers or just take the ambers out??
I need to get the Xenon/hyper white bulbs to go in place of the regular ones...
Anyone know the bulb #'s...
U think u gonna let w1ngman do it all, or u gonna try and help out some...???

A great point to consider! Similarly, the 'other bulbs' are often replaced now as well. When I remove your amber diffuser...the 7440 [turning] bulb is found to be clear. Many folks like to replace them with a chrome-finish amber replacement. This can be found on various internet websites that specialize in bulbs. Similarly, the 194 [running/parking] bulb in the lower portion of the diffuser is likewise a clear bulb. I've had great feedback from owners on a 194-series bulb I can get here at a nearby Wal-mart. Its a hyperwhite that has a chrome finish. Offers an 'ice-white' running light that compliments the HIDs quite nicely. I'd be more than happy to pick up as many pairs and bring them with me (I'd only ask for reimbursement for bulbs is all). Last time I checked, they ran for ~ $6/pr. Sorry, but I don't have a nearby supply point for the 7440s...so if you want those, you'd need to investigate on your own. However, I seem to remember a fellow owner from the Del-Val group Defender having posted on where he purchased the chromed amber 7440s from. One of you might want to PM him & bring the info back into this thread

Another thing folks tend to think about while they're ordering their diffusers is replacing their sidemarkers. If you order sidemarkers through Rick's site, last time I installed his for a customer I was happy to see that the 194s for the sidemarkers are included. AND they are chromed amber 194s. Not a bad deal. So if you didn't otherwise consider it, you might want to do so presently . Installing the sidemarkers is a 'snap'...literally . It does help to have 'three' hands (to keep the wire from falling into the fenderwell while swapping...but its a piece of cake.

W1ngman, what are you opinions on just removing the amber lense and not replacing it with one. I have seen MulderATO's and I think it look alot cleaner that just having a clear lense installed. What are your opinions.

Honestly, its about "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and whatever *you* like is all that counts. Me personally?...well, I like the more 'finished' look of a diffuser (whatever the color) inside the headlamp. But again, that's just me. I know a number of folks that have just had me remove the diffusers...and have the headlamps sealed back up 'nekkid.'

Your call ...
