AR - 2001 BB Honda S2000 Track Car / or part-out
I bought this S2000 track car on Bring a Trailer just a couple months ago. It seemed like a really good idea at the time. Ready-to-go track car with all the right bits, including fresh brakes, fluids, and new Toyo 888R's ready to hit the track with. And, what I considered a really good price for everything included:
2001 S2000
87K miles
No accident history, all original panels
Nearly $20K in track mods+development+OEM hardtop.
So, of course I bought it! But, after spending a small fortune to rent a truck and trailer to get it to the track a couple times, and the recent purchase of an F80 M3 and 5 other cars in the stable, I've decided I need to let someone else enjoy this impulse buy. Don't get me wrong, the car is properly sorted and a ton of fun.The previous owner is an automotive engineer in SoCal, and I've never driven a car on track that was just so perfectly neutral and ready to drive first time out. I've had an absolute blast tracking it and was of course several seconds faster than on previous track days driving a less capable modified AP2 on the same course.
Now I also realize a track car is not exactly something easy to sell, and while I'm not in a huge rush to sell it, if I don't get any interest in it as-is, I'll consider parting it out. There are tons of goodies on the car which I have listed below. Obviously my preference is to sell as-is.
My asking price is simply what I got in it, which is $21,000 ($19,250 + BAT fee + shipping), OBO.
Without hard top- $17,500

Below are all the modification details and some photos, but feel free to click the BaT link above to see tons of photos and read through the entire description and all the comments.
I think I would come out ahead dollar-wise by parting it out, but I really don't want to go through the trouble if I don't have to.
