I bought this car about 1.5 years ago with approximately 15K miles on it. I have kept it garaged and only driven it occasionally. Miles are now at about 18,500. I'm selling this car as I switched from having multiple cars to a single AWD daily driver.
I'm asking $18,800 OBO which is within KBB value. Please see below for details regarding the exterior, interior, and mechanical condition. I have also included many photos.
Mechanical Condition
Excellent, needs nothing. Drives amazingly with no check engine lights. Since purchase, I have changed the oil, diff fluid, brake fluid, clutch fluid, and trans fluid. I also replaced the clutch around 16K miles with 100% OEM parts (the throwout bearing had a little buildup after 17 years, leaving it feeling slightly sticky; it was not buzzing or seized or anything like that). The clutch feels like new now! Car does not burn oil. Passed emissions too.
At one point, the previous owner installed a cold air intake and removed the air guide (plastic trim piece) in front of the radiator. I have this plastic piece and have just ordered all of the plastic clips. I will install it or send it with the car if you like.
Exterior Condition
Pretty good with minor imperfections. Carfax and Autocheck show no accidents and all VIN stickers are present. The car is dent-free and has been detailed. There are a few rock chips on the front bumper and hood. Also, the front bumper has scrapes, blemishes, and fading paint.
When I purchased the car, I had a new Robbins soft top installed with a glass window as the original soft top had a small tear. The soft top is still in new condition (it remained down with a hardtop installed). The glass window is also a nice upgrade from the OEM plastic one.
The previous owner installed black mesh inserts into the grill and vents. I believe these can be easily removed if desired.
The car currently has 17" AP2V1 wheels (from a 2004-2005 S2000) and Dunlop Direzza tires with average (5-6/32") tread left. These wheels are in pretty good condition. One does have a little curb rash though.
I also have the original 16" AP1 wheels wrapped in all-season tires. These wheels can be swapped onto the car in lieu of the AP2V1 wheels if the buyer so prefers. The original wheels are in average condition with some scratches and clear-coat peeling.
Hardtop has been sold separately and is no longer available. Sorry, I cannot amend the title at this point.
Interior Condition
Great. I installed a new Pioneer headunit and new speakers in the doors. Due to the aftermarket headunit, the dash controls for the radio (to the left of the steering wheel) no longer function.
There is some minor wear and tear inside the vehicle consistent with age. Car still smells fresh and the leather is supple though.
