NJ – 2006 Honda s2000 – Suzuka Blue

Mileage: ~75,941
Summary: very well maintained with all service records + thrust bearing failure
The Good:
• November 2009: purchased with 12,975 miles from dealer (who stated first owner was older gentleman who took it for Sunday drives)
• regular maintenance performed (service records available)
• June 2014 (mileage: 62,282): replaced brakes (rotors + brake pads)
• March 2015 (mileage: 69,848): replaced shock absorbers and thermostat
• November 2015 (mileage: 75,179): replaced coolant temp + oxygen sensors
• February 2016: replaced convertible top with new Robbins top with 2 year warranty
• SUMMARY: super well-maintained with brand new Robbins convertible top + relatively new brakes, shock absorbers, sensors.
The Not-So-Good:
• August 2011 (mileage: 40,151): hit by vehicle on the right side (have invoice from auto body shop with details on work performed)
• September 2013 (mileage: 59,930): hit by vehicle on the left rear (have invoice from auto body shop with details on work performed)
• August 2016: started cranking hard and would stall once warmed up; diagnosed with a thrust bearing failure. See last three photos from my mechanic (shows crankshaft and broken thrust bearing).
