Brief History

I bought this car in very good factory stock condition in 2013. In 2014, I began the conversion to full race trim. The car was first prepped to compete in time trials and set TTC track records at all the tracks it ran. The car then went to 2015 Nationals at VIR. The car set the fastest time in the warm up session on old tires which awarded pole position for the official timed sessions. Unfortunately the motor let go in the first official session and wasn't able to finish the weekend. The winning time was over 1 second slower than what this car did in the warm up session.

Moving away from time trials, the car briefly competed in PTB/PTC in which it won all races it entered. It then transitioned to Honda Challenge 1 trim for the 2016 season. It also podiumed every race it entered and also set the H1 track record for every track it ran. The car went to 2016 Nationals at WGI in H1 trim in which it pulled a large gap on the field, set the track record and won.

With the help of Andrew Wikstrom at Tachterion Driver Development, this car has been through a very significant amount of chassis setup and development. Numerous iterations of spring rates, shock revalves, shock adjustments, alignment specs, sway bar changes and wing adjustments make this car both extremely capable and easy to drive at the limit. Parts aside, this is where the value lies. This will allow somebody to concentrate on driving and eliminate the growing pains of car setup and development.

The reason for the sale is that I’m exploring other avenues to compete.

Happy to share more details with serious buyers. Binders of setup notes, shock valving and setup information will be included.

Wait? - How did you win a race without any JDM bling under the hood? I thought Spoon and Mugen parts would make me win.

Interested! When is a good time to call and talk about your car? I'd be looking to build it more for SCCA STU class. Lmk
