2003 Honda S2000 for sale. VIN JHMAP11433T007016. Sebring Silver with blue cloth Robbins top. 80,XXX miles. Texas car its whole life; I am the third owner since November 2009 at 27268 miles. Garage-kept except for first two weeks of ownership and during road trips. Complete maintenance records available; summarized in next post. Car predominantly used for recreational country road trips; very little stop-and-go driving. Owner is adult male, late 40s/early 50s. Car has never been to the track or raced under my watch.
THE HIGHLIGHTS:
Blue Robbins cloth top installed 2010 by Clovis. Cloth is much more temperature tolerant than vinyl and less prone to cracking, and gives it an old-Mercedes vibe.
New custom carpeting installed in 2013 with extra-large rubber heel pad. Carpet is vintage Mercedes-style installed in sections for easy repair and designed for durability. Also comes with three passenger floormats and one driver floormat in excellent condition.
Back Yard lowered seat rail installed. Increases knee and head clearance by just under an inch. I’m 6-foot 2-inches and have plenty of extra head room. The stock seat rail also comes with the car.
Kodokan seat locks with security key.

New Honda shocks installed at 46,000 miles.
New Honda front brake pads installed late 2012.
New factory spark plugs installed 2013.
New battery installed 2011.
205/55R-16 Yokohama S.drive tires front, 225/50R-16 Yokohama S.drive tires rear. Tires have about 5000 miles left on them.
Oil changed every 3000 to 4000 miles or 3 to 4 months, whichever came first. If non-Honda mechanic changed the oil, the proper Honda factory oil filter was provided by self to mechanic (I keep one or two filters in the trunk while traveling). Conventional oil used. Oil level checked frequently and topped off between changes. Differential oil changed every 10,000 miles or so. Transmission oil changed more frequently than needed for improved “feel.” Currently has GM Sychromesh fluid in transmission and feel is still excellent.
With the exception of the interior modifications mentioned above, car has been kept completely stock with Honda parts.
The air conditioning is excellent. This is my favorite car to drive on hot Texas summer days with the top up. (Though it spends most of its time on the road with the top down.)

THE PATINA:
Car is coming up on its 11th birthday. A couple of very minor fender dings and scrapes from parking lots. Some small rock/bug chips on hood and front bumper from country driving. I do wash the car frequently on road trips to keep the bug-gut decay to a minimum. Otherwise, no moving accidents. Carfax from 2009 was clean.
There is a spot on the front bumper where the clearcoat is dull. Spot was there when car was purchased and has become more noticeable over time. The usual driveway scrapes on the bottom of the bumper.
Two small windshield chips, professionally repaired.
I never got a tonneau cover with the car.
THE PRICE:
$15,000, which is a little under Kelley Blue Book Private-Party Value and doesn’t factor in the cloth top and interior extras. Buyer’s inspections welcome. billcourtney@yahoo.com
