SOLD.......2002 Black AP1 S2000 with all black interior, 62,xxx original miles, clean title. The car is still stock and hasn’t been modded.
I bought the car in October of 2018 from an older gentleman who told me the car needed a new engine due to being ran low on oil. He had owned the car since 2003 or 2004 and it hadn’t been driven since 2016 due to the low oil situation. I bought the car with the intentions of replacing the engine but figure I’d throw some bearings in it first and see what happened. I replaced the bearings and the car runs good but there is a rod knock on cold starts which goes away after 1 or 2 seconds. I drive the car weekly and have put over 600 miles on the car like this expecting it to get worse or fail but it hasn’t got any worse. I’ve considered replacing the engine but now having a 3 month old daughter I don’t have much time so I thought I’d put the car up for sale as is. If it doesn’t sell I’ll replace the engine and list it accordingly. The car isn’t perfect but I believe the interior and exterior are in really good condition for a 17 year old car.
The Bad:
Rod knock cylinder 3 (details above)
Few dings in passenger side door (pdr would easily fix these)
Ding on trunk with paint chip ( Sub popped up and hit the trunk from the inside, pic below)
Front bumper has been replaced. (when I bought the car the front bumper was in bad shape so I replaced it with a brand new OEM bumper from Honda which I have the receipts for. I still the original bumper as well)
The Good:
Low Miles
No check engine lights
Newer OEM Honda glass convertible top (replaced 6 months before the oil issue and garage kept)
Clutch has less than 5k miles
Goodyear Eagle tires with roughly 80% tread life
Good interior with no rips or tears in the leather
All VINS other than front bumper are intact
Pioneer Head unit with Kicker amp and sub.

Not a bad price at all! A few years back, I sold a knocking, rebuilt title S2K with 63k miles for $6700. If someone buys this, they could spend ~$3,500 and get a used engine and have $11k into a 63k mile S2K!
Thank you, My thoughts as well. I have a local parts/engine dealer that has AP1 engines for $2500 and AP2's for $3000. If the car doesn't sell that's the plan.
