TX - 2008 Berlina Black S2000 CR #72 of 699
I've been driving S2000's for almost 14 years now. I've owned a 2001 Silverstone, 2004 Silverstone, and eventually acquired my dream S2000 Club Racer in October of 2011. I've owned this car the longest of the three, and it has been the best experience of them all (not surprisingly!). However, so many years in an S2000 has me wanting to switch it up a bit. Call me crazy, but variety is good right? Or, I may end up regretting this. Either way, here goes...
For sale is my Berlina Black 2008 Honda S2000 CR w/ A/C & Radio, #72 of 699. I bought this car in California in October of 2011 from the 2nd owner with 19,000 Miles, and put 10% more miles (1,900) on it to bring it home to Texas. I drove this car back to California to attend the 2013 first Annual CR meet where I won the trophy for "Farthest Distance Traveled", met the awesome CR community, AND came home an engaged man! While it was painful to add so many miles from cross-country trips, it was well worth the great times had. This car was made to be driven, after all. It was my weekend car for several years, but I've been driving it daily for the past couple. It currently has 67,500 miles.
Mechanically, the car is flawless. I know how to perform all maintenance on this car and have kept it in tip-top shape. Aesthetically, the car is is in excellent shape. I've kept tremendous care of the paint with OptiCoat,Klasse AIO, Menzerna & Meguiars professional polishes, etc. I've had numerous 16+ hour detail weekends to keep the Berlina Black paint reflecting like a mirror. There are the typical rock chips that you'd find on a car of this age/mileage, and there is a very fine crack in the paint in the front bumper near the corner of the passenger headlight. Its been there since I bought the car 6 years ago and has not grown, and has never been noticeable enough to warrant repainting.
ONLY premium Amsoil fluids used in Engine, Transmission & Differential, changed frequently.
Axle nut TSB performed at 23,000 miles (link to info)
Valve adjustment performed at 45,000 miles
Brake fluid & clutch fluid last performed at 61,000 miles
Coolant flushed at 64,000 miles
Tires are Potenza RE-71R's and have about 50% life left -- these tires rock!
Rust free vehicle (CA, TX, OK)
The car has had one minor accident as reported on the Autocheck, which was reported to be a curb incident affecting the front bumper only. The bumper was repainted. All other body panels carry the original paint with VIN tags.
This car is truly dialed in with over $7,000 in tasteful modifications. The audio system is audiophile-grade while being mindful of weight (documented here). The tune is a huge upgrade from the stock map and is much more livable with the extra torque. The Kevlar PWJDM bits under the hood tie in SO nicely with the seats in the CR; they're a match made in heaven. The custom-numbered doorsills commemorate the limited production CR in the S2000's final years.

Sad to see it go. For most, there hasn't been a satisfying replacement for this car (keep that in mind). You have so many memories and experiences to take with you. One rarely regrets putting on the miles. GLWS.

Thanks for the kind words all! Many memories for sure, but after experiencing the Lotus Elise/Exige platform I'm not sure I'll look back!
I know I'm in for a rough ride with a Lotus, but the car is just on another level that is just too fun to pass up!
