Details:
This is my second s2000 and it makes me sad to say but unfortunately I have to sell the car. I hope it goes to a good owner.

The car is a Berlina Black 2006 Honda S2000 with about 116k miles on it now. The mileage may increase very slightly. This car is an AP2V2.

This car was an impulse purchase last year as I was looking for a car to use for weekend driving and track days. After purchasing the car my mindset was to prepare the car for the track, meaning I wanted to make sure everything was absolutely perfect. As such, I spent thousands of dollars cleaning up the car, making updates and repairs, and putting the car in tip top condition - I fixed or replaced things that I would not have worried about if it was just a DD. However after fixing everything, to actually track the car I still need to spend several more thousand dollars on on roll bar, seats, harnesses, and likely some Ohlins. The car would be above my set budget. So the car has never been tracked or auto crossed or anything. I ended up buying a track prepped NA miata so this car isn't really driven anymore

I have spent over $5k on this car fixing it up and buying new parts, so my loss is your gain. I have all receipts for the work done at Sportscar Shop in Sterling, VA by Artin (Porsche, Lotus, and S2000 specialists). Artin himself tracks an s2000 so he knows about these cars. If you are serious, I can connect you with him and he will walk you through everything done to the car and the condition it is in (basically a free pre-purchase inspection).

Brief list of work done within the last few thousand miles:

- Valve adjustment, plus new valve cover gasket and tube seals
- Compression test (Fantastic results! Close to new engine with all cylinders 230 to 240)
- New stainless steel brake lines (Stop-Tech)
- New brake pads (Stop-Tech Street Sport)
- Brakes flushed with SuperBlue ATE
- New tires (Bridgestone RE71R) in OEM sizes
- New clutch slave cylinder (had a slight leak, very common)
- New clutch master cylinder (decided to replace it while slave was being replaced)
- Axle nuts torqued to proper specs
- New OEM LR brake caliper (was in bad shape, almost seized so decided to replace it rather than rebuild)
- New lower control arm in front
- New inner and outer tie rod ends in front
- New LR wheel bearing (common issue prob due to axle nut not torqued enough; wasn't too bad but had some play in it so decided to replace before track)
- Alignment
- Oil changed, new oem filter (Amsoil 10w30 XL)
- Transmission fluid changed (Honda MTF)
- Clutch fluid changed and flushed and clutch adjusted (Superblue ATF)
- Coolant fluid changed and flushed (Honda Coolant)
- Diff fluid changed and flushed (Amsoil Severe Gear 75w90)
- New PCV valve (old one was in decent condition. I will include if desired)
- Aftermarket head unit installed by PO, added modifry Dash Control Interface (so dash controls work)

There are a few other things I've probably missed but I will look through the receipts and confirm. Clutch was replaced around 85k miles when previous owner (PO) bought it. Feels good right now.

Basically the car is fully sorted and the new owner can drive it without worrying for a long time.

The Good:
Engine is very strong, as shown by compression tests
Fully sorted car now, can be driven for thousands of miles without concerns apart from regular maintenance
Interior is very clean, seats are in very good condition for the age. Only negative is slight wear on driver's seat side bolster
Very recent brakes, tires, and just did fluids (engine oil, diff, and transmission within the past month)
Two keys, original owner's manuals

The Bad:
There was a tear in the soft top in the usual spot. I had it professionally repaired by Lim's Auto upholstery in Chantilly. Anyone that knows these guys knows they are by far the best in the area. I used them for my last car and the patch should hold up for a long, long time. Please see pics.
The exterior paint isn't in great condition. One or more of the POs likely went to drive through car washes frequently so there are swirls everywhere
Rear bumper on passenger side has a bunch of light scratches and one large scratch. Most of the small scratches would likely come out with a good polish (see picture)
Several rock chips and a door ding consequences of driving in NoVA
The trunk lid VIN doesn't match. The past owner (bought it around 85k mi) knew nothing about it and says he never had an accident, and I believe him. Maybe there's a story there but I don't know. The car aligned perfectly fine (frame is totally straight, no evidence of damage) and I have alignment printout. The car does have a spoiler on it, so maybe a previous owner switched trunk lids with a different car to fit the spoiler?

Clean title, title in hand. Car is stock, only mod is a K&N FIPK intake. Very common, and makes a very nice sound. Also an aftermarket head unit with modifry Dash Control Interface as mentioned

I want to be clear - while this car is not perfect, it is very well sorted for this mileage. I also don't have to sell it.

My loss is your gain. If you low-ball me, you will likely be ignored but I am open to negotiate reasonable offers. Must have cash/cashier's check in hand if you want to purchase. No test drives unless you demonstrate you are a serious buyer. I can take a buyer on a drive so they can check out the car.

I am close to Fairfax Co Pkwy and Rt 7 intersection.

TL/DR:
Exterior: 6/10
Interior: 9/10
Mechanically: 9/10

With a good polish would probably be 7-8/10 exterior.

By any chance will you sell the clazzio seats cover alone and ship it to me in FL? Thanks!

It's overpriced for a high mileage and subpar condition S2k. I see you put a lot of work into it but the end product is what matters and your price is far too high.

Thanks for the feedback! I actually took it off the market for a while to see if I want to continue building it for the track or not, or spend a bit more money cleaning it up for sale, or just keep it as a 3rd car. I'm probably going to get the paint corrected which should vastly enhance the exterior condition, since the paint is the worst part of the car. I think I made it out to be worse than it is, but I'd rather have someone pleasantly surprised than disappointed in the condition. The interior is in very good shape for even a lower mileage car. Engine is very solid demonstrated by the compression tests, and some of the suspension parts have been updated. The car is being maintained properly now which should avoid any issues. I'll be changing the oil, diff and tranny fluid one more time since I'm coming up on one year of ownership, unless the car sells sooner.

If I were to keep it, first thing I'd do is put coilovers on since it's getting to the age where the stock suspension is likely getting old. However after tracking the miata for the 3rd time last weekend, that car is perfect for what I'm looking for right now as a track car and I sold my DD so now this car has to go soon.

I will have new pics if I do the polish. Otherwise, I'm lowering the price for s2ki to $14,950. I haven't put a new CL ad up yet but will within a week or so.

If someone is interested in making me an offer before I spend a few hundred more dollars on this car, I'm listening.

Hey man!

I actually now own your old 05! I knew that name looked familiar and found it in the stack of receipts form service records. Car was well taken care of and sits at 98k right now. GLWS!

Let me know if you want to get rid of that intake. I can trade for stock (if you don't have one) or buy outright.

Congrats! I actually saw it for sale on craigslist and talked to the guy I sold it to about it. If it wasn't for the more expensive tuning options, ap2v1 are the best bang for your buck. I specifically got a ap2v2 this time because I wanted to use hondata and tune the car for smoother vtec transition. That car was super clean when I bought it and I tried to keep it that way. That's the biggest reason I never put a roll bar in.

Thanks for corroborating that I do my best taking care of my cars I have all the receipts for this one and I feel it's a good value at this price. Perhaps I'm too honest about the flaws! If I were to keep it, I would etiher get it polished or polish it myself, and/or probably wrap it. Since it doesn't seem to be generating much interest I may still end up doing that. I'm worried in a year I'll wish I sold the miata and kept this car instead for the track. Rollbar, seats/harnesses, and Ohlins and I should be good for a couple of years. Probably would tune it also. Then square setup and weight reduction, and bbk. The problem is, track setup on this car costs more than my fully prepped miata!

I'll let you know on the intake. Give me about a week to see if the car sells or not. It's a great setup and man does it sound awesome!
