Well I've had a lil project goin in the back yard, If you recall the one side where we did the DG & my Momcave is, well I had the crew that did the mason work out front the pillars and concrete steps from the porch come and they pulled up all the Flagstone that I had laid in the DG 2 years ago for the walkway and fire pit circle.
They put it all back but IN concrete so its more patio like and now you don't have to walk in the DG he also made me a step off the deck as it was too high for my short legs to step off there
he put flagstone on it
Also added a true red brick patio attached to the concrete one & it goes across past the Momcave to the fence. That's kept us busy.
When they finished I needed the landscape guy to add 2 Yards of DG to the sides to even out the height. It looks really nice I'll get s soon.
Then I got sick Friday the 6th started with a mean soar throat then nose & couch crap! I finally went to the Urgent Care yesterday cause the cough was BAD
Dr said its Bronchitas and gave me 3 meds.
SO to shorten this you won't see us till I'm better

Here's a few 's of the Side Yard update that was done.
SO the side of our houses backyard is basically concrete and DG ( Decomposed Granite ) its kinda sand like but not that fine and it will firm up after being packed in well.
You do get some on your shoes though
2 years ago I laid a Flagstone walkway thru the middle and made a circle in the center for. Fire Table & chairs.
Not an easy task as I had to cut into the DG for each piece of Flagstone took my time over a couple weeks and got it done!
Walking on the flagstone was good vs walking in the DG.
I decided it would be grEat to have the pieces in concrete more patio like and no loose DG to get on your shoes.
We have a great Hardscape crew that had done our front walkway & steps from the porch, they did the job.
A couple Before s
Now with the concrete and I also added a brick patio vs the bark & gravel in front of my Momcave
There's still DG along the sides but you can walk on either concrete , Brick or Flagstone barefoot even
much nicer and all level to each other
