HEY RB...

You had great weather! We were going to go next weekend for three nights. Cool Cabins has a special stay two or more nights and get one night free for one week. I called to make reservations yesterday, but they said the owners of the Teewinot weren't participating. I said "It's not booked. they're willing to walk away from money?" Sara said she'd call them and call me back. She didn't. I'm pissed off at Cool Cabins right now. We're thinking of trying someone else. It's OK. The following weekend we're making our annual Father's Day run up to Solvang with 50 Corvettes. Most of them are turning around and coming back the same day (Saturday), but we're spending the night and having dinner at the Hitching Post and breakfast at Anderson's Split Pea. We'll do Big Bear later in June. I'll keep you posted.

Yeah it was great weather & should be the next 2 days :woot: thats too bad they wouldn't let it be available :( I am sure there are other cabin rental places & don't doubt my girl will find one!

We had gone over to Lake Arrowhead too on the Rim of The World HWY man that view is  butt saw hazy as there was a fire off near Laguna Beach I think. :(

There are very few squirrels left in Big Bear. There was a terrible mange epidemic, at least partially attributable to squirrels oversocializing at bird and squirrel feeders. I remember when squirrels were everywhere up there. So sad.

Kevin Costner. He built a gigantic home on the water on the North Shore, east of Fawnskin. His first wife, Cindy, got it in the divorce settlement.

There are houses built around and on top of gigantic boulders. You need to take a boat tour around the lake to appreciate this.
