Major Police Activity in Our Neighborhood Right Now
The police are looking for someone who assaulted a police officer. Helicopters and police cars everywhere. Several streets closed off by police with dogs. Very noisy. Apparently, we are within the perimeter. The police sent several messages on our neighborhood website with the man's description and "Keep your doors locked." At least three helicopters are circling overhead.

This just now from the police: "Dear residents, After a lengthy and thorough search of the area, the perimeter has been broken down. The case has been turned over to GPD (Glendale Police) detectives for further investigation and identification of the suspect. The suspect remains outstanding. Thank you residents for your patience, cooperation and assistance with the search. We would also like to thank LASD (LA Sheriffs), San Fernando PD K9 Unit and Burbank PD K9 Unit for their assistance with the investigation. Officers will continue to patrol the area. A press release will be posted with more details."
The police really dropped the ball. They should have completely surrounded him in the parking lot.

Yikes! Hopefully everyone stays safe. 
OK, he transitioned to a car later but there is no indication of "armed and dangerous." Great expenditure of resources.
