Right now it's on the History Channel. They have 16 or 18 contestants at the start. They break them into two teams then they compete in a series of shooting competitions. Each week the losing team has to nominate two shooters to go to an elemintion challenge, which is also a shooting contest. When the teams get down far enough they abandon the separate teams and change to individual challenges, followed by elimination challenges.
They shoot everything from primative thrown weapons (like tomahawks) to bows, historic guns all the way to modern guns. They have shot cannons, grenede launchers, fully automatic machine guns to literally throwing rocks. The challenges are usually physical as well as marksmanship. Repel down the side of a building stopping to fire from multiple levels. Run an obsticle course between stations. Sometimes they shoot from moving platforms. Like firing an 1890's era rifle from a moving stage coach, or a WWII era machine gun from a military truck.
There is SOME dramarama, but it's MOSTLY about the shooting.
