I think Cthree is doing what is required by the law. I mean if one of us and s2ki.com is sued then this site may be shut down.
I think we need a thread on fair use...

 

Am I the only one who thinks it odd that this suddenly became a big deal (coincident with protokultr's arrival)? 2 1/2 years of looking the other way, suddenly C3 wants to play by the rules?

 

He was warning us about this ages ago ......

he can do what he pleases, people here keep forgetting that this is his home. he is the homeowner. he does what he needs to cover his ass and like my parents said, "if you don't like my rules then you can get out of my house."

 

Agreed, but if he didn't warn us and just started deleting, there would be a thread about how that is wrong and that he should have warned us !!

It has been said many times that we shouldn't link to other sites, yet we still all do it .... if he is getting shit from others, it is his responsibility to start deleting the offending posts.......

I'm upset that I can't post ing pics. If you would come to Car Talk and S2000 Talk every now and then, you'd see that I "make a living" there with my "Many pics, not 56k-safe" threads (as does wantone).

I always gave credit to the site from which I "stole" the pics. It's one thing to post accredited pics, it's another to scan a magazine and post without permission.

Even when posting pics, it's not like the hosting site doesn't get credit. All you have to do is right-click and select Properties and BAAM!

 

Thanks to protokultur S2ki is gonna have to live without pics. This is the ing Internet for Christ's sake.

If it's already publicly viewable, then what's the big deal?
