Today this is especially relevant if you have children. My parents “downsized” when they moved and still have a ton of stuff. I don’t want to deal with all of that (on top of everything else) when they die!

Oh my mother-in-law is a hoarder, I don't want to think about her home when and if she passes away before she cleans it out. It would be a nightmare for us.

Today I'm thinking my 3 also will have this problem but I can't bring myself to toss the boxes w / their names on them :heart: :(

Today - had the talk with Mom (not VMom - but the actual parental unit) about her moving and what to keep. Other than her jewelry and picture/photos and some other things - let it go. You don’t need the everyday dishes / silverware (buy new at the new house) , leave the sofa etc.

I’ve kept a few things in all my moves. My books, golf clubs and my Flexible Flyer sled, and clothes. Everything pretty much else was donated or trashed.
