1st Annual Philly Drive Saturday November 12th
Ok maybe not the first but the first in a while.
So welcome to the 1st Annual Philly Drive, as the name says it is a drive, not a race. The link to the route is below, and is a combination of some roads that have been used in past runs in this area. It has a nice combination of twisties and scenery and will be a great drive.
Now for the details:
Where:
Yardley Park and Ride. (approx) 1187 Woodside Road, Morrisville PA 19067
Off 95 before crossing into Trenton if you're coming from the PA side.
Off 95 just after crossing in to PA if you are coming from the NJ side.
When:
Saturday November 12th, 2016. Arrive at 9:00am we will be leaving at 9:30am sharp.
Make sure you are in the lot before 9:30 or you maybe left behind.
Unfortunately there will be no rain date for this as it is close to Thanksgiving and the following weekends seem to be busy for most.
What to Bring
-EZ Pass there may be a couple tolls along the route.
-FRS Radio (with ear piece) if you have one.
-Car with a FULL TANK OF GAS (yes a FULL TANK OF GAS)
-GPS/Iphone with mount. The route is on google maps so if you get separated this and a radio/phone is your way back.
-GoPro/Camera to show everyone how much fun you had.
Destination:
Blue Grillhouse 4431 Easton Ave, Bethlehem, PA 18020
Should be ample parking they open at 11:00 and we should arrive between then and 11:30.

*Removed for now, may be making some modifications, after running the route this weekend it was a lot of fun, good roads, but the crossing back and forth across the river got a little redundant. Working on getting a firm route will post a link when I have it worked out.*
Anyone interested in helping who knows the area and wants to volunteer to ride in the middle or back (depending on how many cars we get this may not be an issue) feel free to PM me. I appreciate all the help I can get.

The total drive will only be 86 miles, S2000 tank is 13 gallons or so, should bring you to the destination and there is a gas station across the street. Up to you, we'd love to have you along!

For anyone coming who needs gas before we start, if you go to exit 2 on the NJ side, there's a BP if you head NORTH (LEFT- across from Mountain View GC) and a LUKOIL if you head SOUTH (RIGHT - just past the airport). There's also a SUNOCO about 2 miles SOUTH on Rt 29 (Exit 1) .
I know there's an EXXON on the corner of 532 and Stoopville Rd, and a SHELL in Newtown.
