Have you considered lower seat rails?
I'm about 5'9 and won't be able to pass the broomstick test with a planted tech seat mount and Sparco Evo2 Plus, but it may work for you. I may just get my racing fix through autocross in the meantime until I am able to pickup a roll bar.

You saying you don't want me to run? All I'm saying is the people running events take calculated risks. If they can get the car named in their insurance rider and/or they transfer liability to the driver with the waiver you agree to when you sign up, there aren't likely to be repercussions for the organizer (unless someone dies).

I got away with speeding today. I just did it and no one checked.

According to the info above .... gofast182 shouldn't even be running at NJMP.

Being in the commercial insurance industry any decent lawyer will go right around a waiver. If anything happens on the track the people involved in the incident may not try and sue but with people getting injured (especially younger cool kids like myself) it's likely that family members such as parents or spouses will sue. The participant may have signed a waiver accepting the liability but the minute an NJMP track worker lets an illegal car on the track NJMP is at fault and according to Joe's point above they are also breaking the law NJMP would be fully liable.
Long story short get a good roll bar that will pass inspection and more importantly protect you.

I understand all bets are off when lawsuits are involved, particularly for personal injury. Point is they're still taking calculated risks by allowing certain vehicles to run (as is the driver by proceeding).
Personally, I've been able to run everywhere either with no broomstick test, being coached to pass it ('sit lower for a few seconds'), or by having a hard top which [supposedly] negates the need for one.
Should I (and many others) have an aftermarket roll bar? Yes.

Yes, with NASA NE for sure.
As much as I'm a hardcore regular at NASA NE events, you should check this out too:

Ok the event I'm attending will be with NASA.
So is it safe to assume that tracks which requires broomstick test can pass inspection by utilizing an aftermarket hardtop? Mugen replica to be specific?
