Billman250, March 1, 2 & 3, 18067

Ladies and Gentlemen,

If you want or need any S2000 services from Billman but just couldn't or didn't want to make the drive to Long Island, now is your chance.

Who: Billman250

What: Valve Adj., TCT Billmans Lifetime Guarantee (timing chain tensioner), Once-Over, Fluids, Brake Pads, etc. More info here.

When: Fri. Sat & Sun March 1, 2 & 3rd.

Where: Northampton, PA 18067 (pm for address specifics)

Why: S2000 Mechanical Expertise.

PM Billman for specifics on services, pricing, parts and / or supplies.

Something to think about............ If you are asking Billman to do a valve adjustment, DO NOT show up 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment!!! Give your engine some time to cool before Billman lays his hands on it. I can and will have some portable fans to help cool the engine. Again, something to think about.

Sure. Pick a day.

I'm sure my wife won't let us go hungry. Lots of N/A beverages in the garage refrigerator too.

SkiLLeDS2000 02-11-2013 09:26 PM

I'm interested in a Billman once over. I never met any of you, but this would be a good time to introduce myself,

Larry

If you have confirmation from Bill, and know what day you will be showing up at my place, please let me know so that we have an idea for food and beverages.

SkiLLeDS2000 02-19-2013 02:58 PM

So, I'm a weather junkie because I have a snow removal business and the current models are calling for a "winter storm" around the 1st-2nd :banghead: . Brine and salt are bad!

Legion 02-19-2013 03:41 PM

Thats a good point, my car has never seen snow or salt, thats not something I would like to change. I could just swing by and pick up the parts if that is cool.

Billman250 02-20-2013 05:36 AM

I have some open space on fri, not sure how it will pan out.

Thanks, I'll take a look at the weather as we get closer but I'll probably try to keep it on Sunday unless another time is better for you.

Do you have a welder? I need to take exhaust off xB and get a crack welded to pass inspection. I'll do removal and replace someone else can do welding.

No, I don't work on Toyotas / Scions.

jfo 02-27-2013 12:22 PM

What if I bring the welder. You or Bill do the welding? It's a Lexus!

Billman250 02-27-2013 02:28 PM

Owned a machinist/fabrication/welding biz for 12 years. Think I can handle it :)

Billman250 02-27-2013 03:04 PM

updated one more time...on the road tomorrow...

jfo 02-28-2013 03:23 AM

Cool thanks!

SkiLLeDS2000 03-01-2013 10:38 AM

I just drove 2 hours at some excessive speeds after Billman preformed the following tasks,

Valve Adj
TcT 3rd gen
Eibach springs
Clutch fluid
and a bunch of different adjustments

Let me say, what a difference it makes! The car is so tight and smoother, it's crazy. Billman, thanks for working on my car! I'm so glad I did it!

Larry

Joe, I'm probably going to arrive around 11am Saturday...ahead of my scheduled appointment. Just hanging out, maybe learn something, let the car cool down.

Make this X2. Chris, are you taking 476 down the interstate to head to Joe's house? Interested in meeting up off Quakertown exit tomorrow around 10:30 AM? I realize it's late but why not get a top down mini-caravan if possible. If I don't hear back from you I will be in around noon. Just shoot me a PM with your cell if you get this and want to meet up, I will check tomorrow AM around 8:30 to see if you're down.

Looking forward to possibly learning something tomorrow and catching up with some fellow members.

Tyler

Big thanks to Joe and Tammy for hosting. Thanks again Bill for everything, the car is a lot crisper and I can the difference. Nice meeting everybody today, thanks for meeting up with me for the caravan down Chris and Andrew.

Appreciate everyone's hospitality, had a great afternoon.

This was a great event! Thanks billman for all your hard work and education....

Thanks to Joe and Tammy for your hospitality! The food was fantastic, especially that dip!

And I really appreciate Jammie's tour around the //M3......

Legion 03-03-2013 01:58 PM

Again, Thanks Billman, Joe and Tammy! I really appreciate it. It was great meeting you guys!

GinoGT 03-03-2013 08:24 PM

Good to see this went on nicely. 'Tis the season for wrenching; I've been shuffling wrenches from one bike to the next every so often for a couple months. The Boxster should finally be coming home from a month and a half stay in the shop later this week, barring any more delays.

freq 03-04-2013 04:41 AM

I'd say it was a successful weekend.

I want to thank everyone for making the trip to my place. It was great meeting all of the new faces and seeing some of the old.

My second gear grind is gone. My CR wing and decklid are on the car and look incredible. My AUT cooling plate has been painted Berlina and I got that installed under the hood as well. Looks factory. (pics later, maybe)

To finish things off, we went to LVGP to try out the new 9hp karts and the new track layout. Damn, am I sore. Karts are quick.

What can be said about Billman that hasn't been said before? Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

FUK am I sore!!!

Billman250 03-04-2013 04:42 AM

Kajira and I would like to that Joe and Tammy for their hospitality, and all the guys that came down for the wrenching. It was a fun event for sure, and finished out with some fast kart racing.

See you guys again in july...possible second tech days, maybe we will pull some transmissions :)

I'll bet it is on jack stands already.

it IS on jackstands isn't it! I knew it.

You better drive that thing fast enough to bend that wing. I have seen pics of that wing bend at track speeds. You better be that fast(on the track).
