Default Cars and Coffee at the navy yard. 5-7-2016

What's up guys. There will be a cars and coffee event held at the Philadelphia navy yard. It's literally right down the street from the stadiums in south Philadelphia. Maybe we can get a nice amount of S2000 for this event and have a good chill time. Here's the link. http://www.carsandcoffeephilly.com/

I like the fact that they want you to "register".

I thought Cars and Coffee was a bring what you got, show up if you can, grassroots type of event that wasn't sponsored by some corporate entity? This sounds like a sponsored car show copping the C&C namesake.

I'll say this, I saw some images on their website that are from the Bethlehem / Steel Stacks Cars & Coffee which is "bring whatcha' got".

That said, even the SteelStacks event has become a marketing showplace and commercialized. Especially Chevy21.

There are a lot of 'grassroots' cars and coffee meets in the area that are bring what you got and chill. Bucks county exotics for one, is fantastic. Not knocking this one, I may just find my way down there.

I saw a lot of prancing horses, so my interest is piqued. I may go early or late and set up a lawn chair at the entrance/exit to watch and listen.

Thanks for posting this, it's on my calendar...might try and tie this to a simeone museum visit
