Drift School?

I fell like I can drive pretty good but I want to dial in my drift skills. Wanna just feel better about leaving the back end out there longer and weight transfers. Is there anywhere in the area that has instructions and or events? I don't want to kill my car, just learn to enjoy it a little more.

I want to feel comfortable doing this:
s2000 drift

I would buy an old beater to do this in. From what I've read the S2000 is a tricky car to drift. You will go through differentials as well. Get a cheap old nissan 240 or lexus sc300. That way you can set up the car the way it needs to be set up for drifting and not have to touch your S2000 and ruin its street performance. After a few blown diffs and sets of tires the cost of another car becomes much more reasonable. Or just get into track days if you havent already, if you genuinely want to be comfortable with your car. You will learn a lot more on how to handle a car there with a lot less risk IMO.

That being said I don't know of any schools around here sorry. Anyone else have any suggestions?

I do track days a few times a year, that's not where you're going to learn to slide...

All I'm saying is, since you stated you don't want to kill your car, but you want to learn how to drift, then that doesn't leave many options. They kind of go hand in hand.

True, but I did a few skip Barber events that were either a day or a weekend. I was thinking something along those lines. A HPDE, just drifting but maybe that sort of thing isn't out there. If not, it should be.
