New S2000 owner in the area here
Hi all!
I just picked up a used 2000 model in New Formula Red last Saturday. I love this car so far! I intend to autoX it in the B Stock class with Philly region SCCA this season. I've been autoXing with them for the past two seasons, but I haven't really seen any S2000 out and running around this region regularly.
I had been running my 2000 Honda Prelude in the STS class these past 2 years. But my Prelude was stolen from my apartment right before Christmas. It has since been recoved and is slowing being put back together, but most of the parts that made it a pretty effective autoX car were stolen off of it. I loved my Prelude, but I think the S2000 will be a more than worthy replacement.
Any other local autoXers on here?
Andrew

YO!! Auto-x'er right here! First, welcome to the board, and second, I'll be right there beside you in the races. I used to auto-x with my roommates 3000GT VR-4 (A street prepared). I just picked up my S over the X-mas season, and have yet to get it on the track, but spring is coming quickly! On another note, I used to drive a 'Lude, and if someone stole it, dear God there would have been a homicide! Good luck with the car, and I'll see you on the track when the snow melts...

Welcome aboard, Andrew and I'll give you a badge! Btw, don't forget to vote for the new designs!
A lot of people are hibernating here....hoping that more folks will come out and The group doesn't have too many NFR, so you'll be a popular addition to the crew
We do a lot of drives and cruise stuff....should get started by April Not too many local autoX fans, but maybe you'll get a movement started!

I actually live in King of Prussia too. And I've had 2 cars (both Preludes) stolen from my apartment in the past 4 years. The first was my 1993 Honda Prelude VTEC stolen in 1998. And then my 2000 Prelude was stolen right before Christmas... I need to move.
If anyone is interested, there is the first Philly region winter series autoX of 2004 tomorrow in Camden, NJ. See http://phillyscca.com/ I am probably not going to this one because I left my new S2k up at my parents' place, and my winter beater/daily driver is on snow tires at the moment. But if there's any snow on the ground tomorrow morning, I'm definitely going to run with the beater. And I'll be at most of their other winter series events too.
