Ive seen the movie 4 times. And I got more clarification out of it every time, so let me help break a few things down for you guys. Gosling is a replicant who thought/suspected/hoped he was a real human after being put on the case, only to be dissapointed. Harrison Ford is not. Rachael was, and was able to pro create with Harrison giving the first human/replicant offspring, who was the bubble chick he met at the end of the movie. The replicant creator was after Ford because he thought he was the key to unlocking "inter species" pro creation. Ford gave him the middle finger after trying to be seduced with a second Rachel and later was rescued by Gosling.
There are no real holes in the plot as far as I can tell, but like any good scifi movie, you have to work a little bit to get it.

I got all the plot lines know who everyone is, but still thought it was a lousy convoluted plot...and I liked the first one so much as it was original and fresh, still is. I give thumbs up for the work in general, just this was not a great story which the first one was, so i am comparing them. I like films that unfold their story line whether or not it is immediate or slowly...but this one lacked a decent story line, especially if you are not aware of the first film.
