We just saw THE FAVOURITE- I guess we're trying to see all the Oscar nominated movies just to say we did it, and then argue about the poor choices when the awards are given out. But I digress

Really we had no idea what the picture was about- from the trailers, I thought, ok, its a comedy set in the Victorian era. Wrong.
What its really about is a new lady coming to queen Anne's house, who is climbing the corporate ladder...so to speak. Anyway, well acted, just an odd plot. Maybe, it was just too smart for me to grasp all the nuances- why its nominated for best picture is beyond me. Great costumes and sets but really odd.

so, I'll give it 3/10 coming from a sci fi guy. Don't take your kids to this, they will be bored to tears.
