GUARDIANS of the GALAXY- vol. 2
We just caught GotG- vol 2 today with my wife and kids- watched the "regular" version since 3D is stupid and not worth the extra coin and will just make you nauseous.
Its more of the same, with the familiar play of the first echoed in Volume 2. I liked it alot- the humour, the sarcasm, the explosions- its still one of my favourite non R rated Marvel movies- Logan wins that one. But, that being said, it just doesn't meet the surprise hit the first was. its often the way of sequels- except Aliens. Sequels just don't quite equal the original- good, but not that good. Its worth to see this one the big screen.
Let me put it this way, if the first edition's awesome sound track equaled my rating of the first (9/10), then Vol.2's music equals my rating of this one- 8/10. Talking about the music- children of the seventies and eighties will love this sound track- its one of the few I will buy for my iPod, its that good.
Piece of advice, STAY till the bitter end of the credits.
8/10

Haven't seen yet, but about what I expected to hear. I do look forward to seeing. I have a 106" projector screen/full Theater with lazy boys down in my rec room. Its always a challenge if I think its worth braving the public theater to rather just waiting and buying the Blue Ray or renting Redbox and watching at home. I have 3d as well, so the only thing id be giving up is some Imax-ness. But I've got a full bar and treat counter at my disposal, and no crying kids, so could be a wash lol

Just got to see this on neflix...it great, a real sequel in that it is more of the same as #1, and there will be a #3 with even more characters. The CGI is the best I have seen, the script is clever and the casting superb. 8.9 outta 10.

The only thing bad I can state about this one was that I was kinda meh about was the soundtrack. They lost me with that one... Yes the soundtrack matters in this movie since it revolves around the main character
