OK, it's French thus the title which means The Mantis, like the killer insect. Subtitles. ON NETFLIX now.

A serial killer mom is imprisoned 25 years ago at her request there is a cover up in return for her admission of guilt. Almost everyone thinks she died in a plane crash and there is a tombstone.....but someone knows she is alive. To Quote The Dude ...."lots of ins and outs, man".

What follows is just a hint of the plot line....this is dark stuff....

So the mom is in jail for life and a copy cat killer somehow starts and the police call in a detective who happens to be her son to investigate. He has not seen her for 25 years and she is "dead" to him...she just wants to be his mother again.....She requests his presence and in return work with only him to aide in the catching of the copy cat, or will she? Some of this unfolds in a predictable way like some of the other stories of serial killers in prison who somehow influence the world outside. There are many characters, twist and turns. And it's French so many things are not conventional as we knows them. In the end many people die....some in painful ways..... Why , what, who??

Well done, it's a mini series i think, so there are episodes to watch...things unfold slowly and it's complex sometimes. 8 outta 10 cause it has some unique moments, twist and turns, and you never quite know what will happen next.

Oh, and the cars in this are nothing to write home about.
