I know I used to play a Last Starfighter game that was released for the Atari 800, but I don't know if there was truly a cabinet game, or if there were other games released for other platforms.

I loved that move... You know why?

The people whom he was trying to save were called the "Rylans"

My name is Rylan. They thought I was so cool they named a whole race after me!!!!

"Just as the opening audio of the Starfighter game proclaimed, Alex has been recruited by the Star League to defend the Frontier against Xur and Ko-Dan Armada. Alex's performance in simulation triggered an interstellar communicator that beckoned Centauri, a recruiter/bounty-hunter. They land on Rylos, where Alex is quickly immersed in a war briefing. "Victory or death" does not sound like an attractive choice. When Alex insists that he doesn't want to get involved, its quickly discovered that he's from a nonaligned world. Centauri illegally involved a neutral, undeveloped planet, and he's forced to return his bounty to the Rylans and return Alex to Earth."
