Lost in Space, the new series on netflix
So this is a fresh take on the story we all know....the Robinson family, Dr. Smith, and The Robot....only it's very different. It can be dark, it can be exciting...and even the quiet parts last a short while. The story takes a long time to unfold and the characters are not what they once were.....Excellent special effects, sets, and casting as well as creative writing make this a fine series to watch. Here tension abounds, there are kids but the story has adult themes and problems. Every character is different than you may recall from the tv series and the movie. Well done, i am not completely finished with it yet (10 parts) but it is worth a look. a 9 out of 10 cause
there are several excellent references to the former tv series included.

I have tried to watch it but did not like it. Normally this would be right up my alley and was into it for the first three episodes, but for the last four I found myself bored with each one ten minutes in and would start reading Car and Driver.
I also think it has some bad acting from the Will character and his reddish haired sister. Their acting and dialogue can be cringeworthy.
If you are looking for good SciFi, The Expanse beats this show by 1000 miles.

I just finished episode 6, definitely digging it Good special effects, some good characters and always seems to build some decent suspense through each episode. Each one leaves me wanting to find out what happens in the next.
