I just caught Sicario on DVD tonight...yes, i'm late to the party as this excellent movie came out months ago in the theatres. Then again, i'm also from the generation that waited nearly a year for our favourite movies to come out on beta.

Ok, I really like Emily Blunt in action movies (Live. Die. Repeat. also winning). Sicario is a suspenseful picture leaving the audience as confused as the main character, played by Blunt. She is an officer on the front lines investigating kidnapping, which leads to the mexican cartel. She is drafted into the fight but really doesn't know what her role is.

Watch for Benicio del Toro and Josh Brolin. This movie is suspenseful and tells a compelling story about battling the Mexican Drug cartels.

I highly recommend this movie. I give it an 8.5/10.

I give it a 9/10. It left me wanting more. Excellent movie. I've been telling people about it months ago. I'm not sure as to why it hasn't been getting the praise I feel it's due? Hollywood is funny like that I suppose...

 

i enjoyed it as well. the whole cast was excellent. highly recommended suspense.

 

I just saw this, I have to see it again to truly appreciate it. I thought it was well done, not sure about her in the casting choice...Del Toro nails his job and so does josh....8 out of 10, entertaining and graphic.
