Star Wars - The Last Jedi
Saw it... thought it was great.
I'm not a huge Star Wars nerd so I took it for face value and enjoyed the action and story line.
I've seen all the other Star Wars but I don't follow all the side stories, books, and animations (Rebels, etc...).
I went with a couple of hard core Star Wars guys (they collect action figures, etc...) and they were conflicted and undecided if they liked it or not. *** Spoiler Alert... Kinda***. Their gripe with the movie was that it didn't entirely feel like a typical Star Wars movie (which I liked).
The movie was like 2 1/2 hours long which did not feel like it.
All in all... it was well done. I'd actually go see it again in theaters.

Starting to see Disney affect the series.
unfortunately I risk spoilers trying to explain, so I won't.
but if you are a fan and you've seen this movie, you'll understand.
good film, see it, you'll enjoy it.

I thought parts of it was okay, but parts of it was just dumb.

We just caught THE LAST JEDI tonight in 3D. I have always appreciated the Star Wars franchise...no wait, on reflection, I barely tolerated Episodes 1-3.
But I digress.
I liked THE LAST JEDI. At times I thought I had it all figured out- there are a few twists which add to the appeal. It was just a little draggy at times and silly at times too- "Wait a minute- didn't I hear those same words in episodes 4-6?". But I must say this- we finally have a Star Wars movie that makes a comment- but you have to wait till the very last scene.
Quick note- there is nothing at the end beyond the credits. This is appropriate for kids 8+.
I give it an 8/10.

Besides the movie basically being them retreating a bunch of times, everyone all of a sudden has Jedi powers (the force), and the social commentary on suicide bombing (think the last scene, kinda obvious) it was okay. Hopefully mickey mouse gets back on the great movie train for the next one.
