I think its all about insulting the criminal...just like I wish the news would better describe criminals at large...for example
regular news- "a 5 foot 2 odourous Caucasian man, with a small moustache approximately 200 pounds with a green shirt, was seen leaving the scene." VS.
darcy news- "a short, fat, smelly mother F'er with a hitler moustache was seen trying to leave the scene."
