I could say it’s because the individuals assigned this honor are recognized as “experts” in a broad range of subjects, having lived life long enough to have gained insight into all fields of endeavor including philosophy, theology, politics, physics, quantum theory, chaos theory, theory of relativity, astrophysics, biology, chemistry, advanced economics and risk modeling, etc ad finum - -------------
But in view of the fact that the first of these threads was the “Ask Raul” thread, that theory is pretty much debunked.
My best answer is we are all a bunch of narcissistic “post whores” who in our pathetic basement dwelling hours find it entertaining to
poke each other in hope of starting something that we will later regret. 
– but I am probably wrong.
