I would highly advise against a set of A/S tires...that's just begging for trouble...

A lot of people run Dunlop Direzza III, Bridgestone Re71-R's, or Continental ExtremeContact Sport (I run the Contnentals on my AP-1 and the Dunlops on my CR). I only drive the cars from May to October so I use Summer only high performance tires.

That's interesting, I'll have to look into it. I have the general ultra high performance a/s they have a Y rating. I drive my car a few times a week regular so a legitimate summer tire didn't seem practical given our wet climate during spring and summer. I'll just give it a go. I've got a few more months to feel her out. Thanks for the advice!

I went to the Dragon for the first time with the group in May and had Cooper Zeon RS Ultra High Performance All Seasons on my AP1. They did okay, but as soon as I came home I got a set of Firestone Firehawk Indy 500s and another set of wheels so I can swap them out.

If you are going to change out your suspension.... I'd do it after the Dragon, so that you have plenty of time to adjust your driving style and learn how your car handles.

There are a number of drives, so spirited, so slow, some in between. All depends on which drives you sign up for (when they are posted)....

I would suggest that you do not sign up for a spirited drive with A/S tires. They do not have the grip that the tires most of us run. Granted, you will get more miles out of the A/S tires, but nowhere near the grip.

Just my two cents worth....
