I'm still curious to see where people will incorporate an external mic. I am getting the skeleton case so I can run the external mic. I just need to find a mic that's affordable and durable. Also, will be curious to see where people are mounting the mic.

If I still have the link, I will.
Patrick, here is the mic I bought. Can't beat the price and so compact you can place it most anywhere.

I have one vid but it's too large and I don't know how to cut it back. Any suggestions on software that someone of advanced years can understand? I'm tired of trying to find an 8 year old to help me with this stuff

your pc should have windows movie maker on it. should be fairly simple to just click and drag the movie to the desired length. if you have a mac i think imovie works in a similar fashion, but bama dave is the mac expert
put y'alls cameras to work and go win one of bama daves mounts https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/924...st-guidelines/

I finally figured out how to edit the clip I shot on the last Raleigh drive.
Here is a link giving the audio with the mic positioned in the pocket on the passenger side hump.

also that mic doesn't seem to use batteries, and from what i have researched on the gopro forums, the mic port is not powered suggesting an external mic with its own power source would be beneficial
